Internet campaign helps man in quest to achieve Taylor Swift dream

(Yahoo!) - Taylor Swift: She's not just for teeny boppers! Lest anyone ever doubted the depth and breadth of the superstar's fanbase, here's a little tale that will illustrate just how diverse it is. When Boston radio station Kiss 108 recently started a contest to find "Taylor Swift's No. 1 fan"--the winner will get tickets to her show, plus a personal meet-and-greet--an unlikely candidate put forth an earnest plea.

When asked to explain (in 137 characters or less) why he should win the prize, one Charles Z.answered, "I'm a 39 year old man and I love Taylor so much and don't care that both adults and children mock me for it. But I feel 22 if that helps."

Okay, fine and well; we know guys of all ages like pretty blond musicians. However, a self-professed friend of Charles posted a further explanation on the anonymous message board 4chan:

"A local radio station has a contest going to give some lucky teeny bopper a chance to meet [Swift]," he wrote. "My creepy 39 year old friend named Charles would like to crush all those girls dreams (and then sniff Taylor Swifts hair cuz he's into that), by winning this instead. Help him crush the dreams of these girls and give him a chance to make a complete ass of himself by blatantly just sniffing her hair with cameras rolling."

The "friend" then noted that Charles--whom he charmingly termed a "fat old guy" who wants to "creep on Taylor Swift"--was only in 25th place, so please oblige by voting for him.

Well, then. With that kind of recommendation, how could Charles Z. fail to zoom to first place? (He's currently still there, as of this posting.)

The contest ends July 21, so there's still time to get in your vote and help a nice fat old guy out. We can't wait to hear the song Swift writes about this one!
